Why sell to the Modo Boutique?

We offer consignment listings in our e-Bay store and on auction using our established and trusted seller ID which has over 14 thousand visitors a month. In addition, there are NO out of pocket charges or fees! Only when your item(s) sells and is paid for do we collect any money.

Getting your items together:

Here are some guidelines to help as you prepare your items for sale. We will be double checking everything when we receive the items and will not sell or consign any items that are not in the condition stated by the client. Items that do not meet these requirements or go unsold will be returned at the consignors expense, or can be donated if you wish.

Merchandise must be:
* New or gently worn designer brands
* Current styles
* In immaculate condition (no rips, tears or stains)
* 100% Authentic & Genuine

If you aren't sure if we take certain designers check out our
favorite brands list or email us for clarification.

Take an Inventory:

Using the Consignor Sheet provided, go through and make a list of the items you are consigning. Send or bring in a copy and keep one for yourself so you’ll have a record of the items you’ve consigned.Be sure to include the designer or brand name, a brief description (jeans, skirt, etc). If you have an idea of how much you want for particular items, list that on the Consignor Sheet as well. Otherwise leave that section blank and we can set the price once we have received the items.

Consignment Agreement:

Read through the Terms & Condition stated on the Consignor Sheet and fill out the contract completely. We can not accept any consignments until it has been fully completed.

Pack it Up or Drop it Off:

When packing your items to ship out to us, make sure they are safe and secure. We recommend that you purchase shipping insurance as well, just in case of damage or loss during shipment. We can not be held responsible for damage or loss during shipping. You, the consignor are responsible for these shipping costs. It's very important that you include a copy of the completed Consignor Sheet with your shipment.

When preparing items to drop off with us be sure to schedule an appointment via email (
modo.email@gmail.com). We are located at 529 NE Couch St. Portland, OR 97232. Remember to bring your completed Consignment Sheet. We will need it before we can any accept your items to sell.

What next:

Once we receive your items we will go through and select the items we will believe will sell and mail you a receipt with the estimates of their sales value. Items will then be placed online for sale. If you would like any of your unsold items returned or if we decide that we will not accept any of your items, you are responsible for the return shipping cost,or scheduling a pickup. We can also donate items to a local charity and send the receipt for the tax deduction to you.

We can also re-consign items for an additional time period at half the original price by request.

Pricing & Commission:

Starting prices are set by modo boutique unless otherwise requested. Our commission structure is based on the table below:

Payments:

On the 15th of each month, when your proceeds (sales from the previous month) amount to $30 or more, a check will be mailed to you with a cover sheet detailing your items sold and your payout for each item. If your proceeds amount to less than $30, they will accrue to the following month or until they reach $30.
